Project Unnati – Hobby Classes
Ishya Foundation organized a Summer Camp for children to explore their creativity, find their passion, socialize and develop various skills.
Our first camp kicked off on June 6th, 2022 for 3 weeks at the Kasturba Balika Vidyalaya, Ishwar Nagar, Delhi for children from underprivileged backgrounds.
Summer camps are the place where many have had the most memorable experiences of their lives. The children are able to step out of their daily routines and immerse into something new and exciting, learn new skills and make new friends. It was glorious to see the excitement and the immense interest in the activities.
Our aim for organizing this camp was to give shape to the children’s summer holidays in a way that once they have been taught all the activities, they can continue to practice those on their own. We also provided activity kits to the children for them to pursue their creativity even when the summer camp got over.
We had activities such as Dance, Theatre, Arts, and Crafts taught by teachers where the children could participate and learn their preferred activity. The students showcased their talents on the final day of the camp, which was a delight to see.
As our first summer camp 2022 was a success, we will be organizing similar camps in the future. Please check back for more information!
